PRESENTATION OF THE GROUP BEN AYED

Existing since the beginning of the century by carrying on the agricultural activity consisting of exploiting it of a field of more than 20000 feet of olive-trees in more of another cultures and the ovine breeding, the group BEN AYED does not cease evolving/moving with the passing of years, in particular, as of the day before of independence and this by the diversification of its activities which touch currently almost all the economic sectors.

Also, the Group BEN AYED had the advantage of being the first commercial one after the independence of the automobile spare parts by creating the company VERY FOR CARS "TPA" in 1958

It, is also the first in acquisition of official companies which were privatisées and this by acquisition of the MARBLE-MASON'S YARD Of WEST "M.D.O" in 1985 (manufacturing Industry) and and the Agricultural Development Development company of North "SEDAN" in 1992.

It has, also, the advantage of having the first Tunisian and African company of exploitation and exploration of an oil reservoir in the sea while using, only, of the Tunisian experiments.

This being, the Group BEN AYED is currently made up of 19 companies operating in various sectors, namely:

A) Agricultural Sector:

2 units operate in this sector which are:

1) the Company BEN AYED Brothers (founder of the Group): It acts of a development company primarily of olive-trees. More than 20.000 feet located in the Tunisian south in more than one oil mill which comprises two chains of olive oil extraction: - a traditional chain, - a continuous chain (modern).

2) and the Agricultural Development Development company of North "SEDAN": This company acquired within the framework of privatization of the official companies in 1992, has a field of more than 1.000 hectares. It is the first milk producer in Tunisia with a cattle population approximately cash 1 000 milch cows in more of the export of potatoes of season and except season.

B) Sector of manufacturing industries:

2 units operate in this sector which are:

1) the Marble-mason's yard of West "M.D.O": This company which is the first privatized Tunisian company was acquired in 1985. It acts of a unit of extraction and production of marble. Its product called Royal Marbre of Thala is well-known on the European market primarily the Italian and Belgian market.

2) the Company of Industrial premises and Naval "SCIN": This company exists since 1930, its activity consists of the industrial premises and metallurgical (large factory, large silos). Moreover, it is the single manufacturer of vats in Tunisia (ISO 9002).

C) Sector of the car industries:

2 units operate in this sector which are:

1) the Tunisian Company of filters "MISFAT": As its name indicates it, this company is specialized in the manufacture of oil filters with air and gasoline for all kinds of vehicles (heavy and light). Its product is well-known on the European market (ISO 9002).

2) the Tunisian Company of shock absorbers "SIA": Create in 1989, this unit is specialized in the manufacture of the shock absorbers of mark "RECORD" for all kinds of vehicles (ISO 9002 and QS 9002).

D) Sector of the public works of engineering and building:

4 units operate in this sector which are:

1) the Company of Construction and Building "SOCOBAT": Create in 1968, this company is one of the first private Tunisian companies operating in the sector of public works and building. In more of construction of the hotels, buildings, large factories, etc. This company is specialized in the building work of the platforms particularly of the factories of gas turbines in more of the structures.

2) the Company of Electric Work "ETELEC": Created in 1990, this company is specialized in work of electricity low, average and high tried. Although it has existed only for approximately 10 years, this company could obtain in 1999 an unlimited approval allowing him to take part in all the projects that it which are their sizes.

3) Petroleum Industrial and Realization Contractors "PIRECO": Created in 1990, this company which is specialized in the construction of the power stations and the oil platforms, was the first Arabo-African company which built turn-key a floating rig (ASHTART II, 500 Tons) within a time record with only Tunisian knowledge and men.

4) the Company of Service Installation and Realization "ISR": Created in 1991, this company is specialized, primarily, in work of welding and piping.

E) Secteur of distribution and automobile representation:

4 units operate in this sector which are:

1) The Company Very For Cars "T.P.A": Created in 1958, this company is the first private Tunisian company which, in more of the sale of the spare parts all confused ranges, has the exclusiveness in representation of the Volkswagen mark and R.V.I. in the Tunisian South.

2) The Company Southern Heavy lorry Service "P.L.S.S": Create in 1992, this company is specialized in the sale of the spare parts of the mark SCANIA which have the exclusiveness in representation in the Tunisian south in more of its equipment of an after-sales service and two modern repair shops located at Sfax and Gabès.

3) The Southern Company Heavy lorry "S.P.L": Created in 1993, this company has as an activity the sale at the stage of detail of spare parts all confused ranges.

4) the Center of Industrial and Automobile Parts "C.P.I.A": In order to satisfy its customers where they are, Group A creates in 1972 this company which is established in Tunis and which has as an aim the marketing of the industrial spare parts and cars all ranges confused. F) Sector of the services: 5 units operate in this sector which are: 1) the Tunisian one of Real Promotion "T.P.I" 2) Real Promotion AMINA "P.I.A" 3) Real Hannibal "I.H" These companies are specialized in the real promotion of standing and high standing. 4) the Hotel and Tourist Company of south "S.H.T.S": Created in 1990, this company is owner of a hotel 4 stars located in the island of Jerba, of a capacity of 620 beds rented at an Italian company of hotel exploitation "BLUE CLUB". 5) Company Al BADR Sicaf: Created in 1995, it acts of an investment company closed-ended. Lastly, and as it is shown higher, our group touched principal the economic branch of industry. Moreover, there is a complementarity between the units operating in the same sector.
